Patrouille de France, the French aerobatic demonstration team, performs a fly-over at the Monument for Alliance and Victory at Yorktown, Virginia on October 8, 2009.  The French pilots overflew the Yorktown battlefield in honor of the long standing friendship between the United States and France.  This month marks the anniversary of the Battle of Yorktown in which France helped General George Washington and the Americans defeat the British troops lead by Lord Cornwallis, thereby winning our independence.
