New Buffalo Sabre defensemen Jaroslav Spacek stepped in right where the departed Jay McKee left, blocking the shot of Montreal's Michael Ryder to help the Sabres win their 2006 home debut in exciting fashion.  The Sabres were down 4-2 with just 4 1/2 minutes to go, and they came back, forcing overtime, and finally winning in a shoot-out.      Mike Lynaugha
