Senate Majority Leader, Senator Bill Frist talks with Mr. James Lynch of Waverly Tennessee about implantable cardioverter defibrillators.  Mr. Lynch had an implantable defibrillator implanted in him after his first heart attack, and it has since saved his life three separate times.  The defibrillator is activated when a patient's heart stops beating, it sends an electric charge through the heart and restarts it without having to wait for emergency technicians to arrive.
