September 4, 2003 - Thousands begin to crown the National mall in Washington, DC to watch the 2003 NFL Kick-off concert.  The free concert will feature such acts as Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Mary J. Blige, and Aretha Franklin and conclude with the first NFL game of the season, the Washington Redskins and the New York Jets, being played on large screens throughout the mall. © Mike Lynaugh
