March 4, 2002 - Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld briefs reporters on the deaths of 7 United States service members when their helicopter was attacked south of Gardez, Afghanistan.  Secretary Rumsfeld re-stated America's resolve to Operation Enduring Freedom stating, "As President Bush said last November, we are coming to know those who have plotted against us.  There is no corner of Earth distant or dark enough to protect them.  However long it takes, their hour of justice will come." © Mike Lynaugh
